Beckov Castle (6 km)

Beckov Castle rises on a 60-meter high hill above the village of Beckov near the river Váh. Beckov Castle is a castle of kings, powerful princes and knights, a castle that resisted the Tatars and Turks.

Čachtice Castle (6 km)

The construction of the Čachtice Castle began in the first half of the 13th century on the initiative of the ruler Bela IV. The castle was built by Casimir of Hunt-Poznan in the 13th century. The construction of this medieval stone castle was related to the Tatars invasion of Hungary. Several royal families were connected to the castle. They eather got it as a gift, purchase it or won it.

In the past there were about 150 castles and churches in Slovakia. Today, a few are repaired, many are like ruins, many of them have disappeared from the surface of the earth ... If you want to see these castles you need to look back 300 - 500 years ago when they were in their full beauty or visit the Miniature Park. There is also the mythical Čachtice Castle, which is famous thanks to Elizabeth Báthory.

Military History Museum (16km)

The museum is located in the former military airport in Piešťany. The exhibition presents more than a hundred pieces of heavy and light equipment, aircraft and helicopters from the Czechoslovak Army from 1945 to 1992. For individuals the museum is open from June to September, during October - May only for groups of 10 people.

The Balneological Museum in Piešťany specializes in the history of SPAs and SPAs in Slovakia as well as history of the Piešťany region. It also includes a historical exposition in Villa Dr. Liska and Ivan Kraska Memorial Room. In addition to permanent exhibitions, the Balneological Museum also runs extensive exhibition and publishing activities. In 2010, a new archaeological exposition was opened in the main museum building

All Saints Church in Haluzice (8 km)

The village of Haluzice is located in the Bošáca Valley, near Nové Mesto nad Váhom. Its undoubtedly the most sought-after monument is the ruins of the Church of All Saints from the 13th century, which is located in a fortified area of the village.

Tematín Castle (10 km)

Tematín is a very inconspicuous ruin between Piešťany and Nové Mesto nad Váhom, more precisely between the villages of Hrádok and Lúka. It's one of the castles you have to trample on.  Vedie tam viacero ciest, my sme si vybrali tú z Hradku. Je to nenáročná, asi hodinková prechádzka, dokonca to zvládne aj terénny kočár. Obídete zopár domov a ocitnete sa v lese.
